Troubleshoot - HF v0.7 (PC)

This thread is meant to provide solutions for common problems.

1. Hero Fighter stuck on "Connecting. Please wait..."

One of the reasons this problem may happen is that the HF main server is down. In order to check if this is the case, try to access http://www.herofighter.com/ on your preferred web browser. If you cannot access this website but all other sites work for you, then there is nothing that you can do about it but wait for the HF main server to get back up again.

However, if you can access the website, open cmd or PowerShell as admin and type in the following commands (do not input the text in parentheses, it is only for your information.):

ipconfig /flushdns (Clear the dns cache)
nbtstat -RR (release and refesh NetBIOS names)
netsh int ip reset (reset ip settings)
netsh winsock reset (Reset Winsock Catalog)

Our great hero @不饿白帝BEBD has created many custom characters for HF that you can install using HF Workshop. Unfortunately, I don't currently have the time to go through each one and make a description and move list for them. BEBD also hasn't made ones, that I am aware. I will leave the link here to download them and a demo video. Slight smile

Introduction

This story takes pride in being the very first custom story made by a fan. Even before the release of HF Story Editor. It was created through a patient effort of hex editing by its author, and inspired @MangaD to develop tools for modifying the game. The story remounts to an era when HF clans existed at the official Facebook group, and in this story you'll fight the biggest clans and their members, with the goal of defeating them all!

Curiosities(s)

- The characters with chinese names are all actually named after men from the Romance of the 3 Kingdoms.
- Greed, Lust, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath and Father are named after characters from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

The following symbols G, J, A, ↑, ↓, → and ← will be used in defining the key bindings for a performing a skill. The meaning of the aforementioned symbols are defined below:

A = Attack,
J = Jump,
G = Guard/Defense,
↑ = Up,
↓ = Down,
→= Right,
← = Left.
