Yes. Already existing problem. It is due to overloaded servers. Already existing solution.

For referral delay issue, if you and your friend are both playing the latest game version (v1.05a in iOS or v1.08 in Android), you can fix the issue by the following steps:
at your friend's game, go to Options, change his Display name to #REFRESH
at your game, go to Options, change your Display name to #REFRESH
After doing that, your phone will update with the server immediately and you will get your heroes. (Display name won't be changed when done)

Sry for disappointing you, but it doesn't work Hellblazer.
I did it on two connectet devices and on the one device I got the first hero. But The another one DOESN'T EVEN SHOW ME that my second device is connected with my main device. So

refresh doesn't work anymore, and how am I supposed to get those heroes now

If someone entered your code and passed those acts, then you'll get your heroes sooner or later.

But I entered the code Sunday on my 2nd device.
It gave me a hero on that, YEAH! But I cleared act 3 on it
And on my main device I didn't get ANYTHING
It doesn't even show that someone entered my code O-o
That's the fact Guys ^^  And that refresh method doesn't work for that issue :(

It might work better if you stay connected to the internet with both devices and play for some time (> 30 mins) on both. I have noticed that when I got my heroes, it was usually only after a while of playing, and not right after I opened the game. And I don't play very often. So, the game might need some time to synch with the server.

Sunday was not too long ago, just be patient.

I did play after entering the code and connecting everything so..
Just an issue without any solution so far for me :(

Bad news: Referral server becomes overloaded and unstable.
Good news: Number of players increases after the update.

So that is basically the problem. But don't worry, you'll get your heroes sooner or later. Keep trying the #refresh trick and be patient.
