Hero Fighter v0.3 has just been released. This update includes story mode, in which there are 3 Boss characters - Giggs, Titto, and Iczzy. Giggs uses a staff, Titto's a chubby guy with a club, and Iczzy has ice power. I only did a quick run, got to the end of Episode 2 - Trap, but it's fun. The command system is implemented, and you can order your computer allies to stay on your left/right, follow, or freely move around. There's cutscenes with some dialog, but note that holding down a key scrolls through each person's text really quickly, so just tap a key quickly if you don't want to miss out on what each character says.

Today Marti released another update of Hero Fighter. Version 0.2.1 has been updated with a number of features. The game now shows a summary after each battle ends, similar to Little Fighter 2, and it now includes the army system with a soldier character. Some tuning (all of them weakening) have been done to the hero characters:
Future updates to Hero Fighter will include more army units such as archers and cavalry. Army formations and larger maps are also in the making.
Marti released a few infantry snapshots these days. I also chatted with him about the progress and he told me that he had to fix alot of stuff about the network game, but hope to release a soldier-character soon.
