Forum Announcement: HFE Forum Rules
Rule 1: Think before posting (+10%, 2 weeks)
Spam, off-topic discussion, necroposting or generally senseless posts* of any form will not be accepted.
If you want to ask questions, search the Mainsite (https://hf-empire.com) or the forums first to check if your inquiry has been answered elsewhere.
• Spam: Threads / Posts that are meaningless, often off-topic, or repeat themselves.
(E.g.: "Hello", "The sky is blue", "Thanks!", "Let's play HF!", "Awesome dude!")
Do not solicit as well. This includes asking others to play or obtain premium account from members. You can use private messaging or HFE's chat. About premium accounts though, sharing your account is dangerous and you could lose it. We always advise you members to never give out your account. Beggars will be warned if reported, and possibly banned if they persist.

  • Off-topic discussion: Discussions not related to the thread are generally discouraged, though hard to avoid. We suggest making a new thread to discuss the new matter if more than two posts deviates from the original topic.

  • Necroposting: Posting in threads that have been inactive for 1 month with no relevant content (this rule does not apply for stuck threads). Only do this if it has an actual purpose (you have a question that was not answered in the thread, you want to remind people of the topic, etc.).

  • Senseless posts: Posts that are difficult or impossible to understand.

Rule 2: Etiquette (+30%, 2 weeks)
Generally, common sense applies here. Do not offend, harass, curse, show disrespect, or be rude towards anyone. Newcomers shall be treated, like anybody else, with respect.
Additionally, adult or illegal content (such as pirated software, plagiarisms) as well as anything which might be inappropriate for minors is not allowed and will be immediately removed.
Rule 3: Follow posting guidelines (+10%, 2 weeks)
  • Multi-posting: Avoid posting multiple posts in a row. If you have something to add to your previous post, simply edit it. The exception is if you need to bump an old post where you happen to have commented last, but know that bumping old posts should not be done unless you have a good reason for doing so.
  • Use descriptive titles when posting a thread. "Help" does not tell a whole lot.
  • Big images should be inside spoilers to prevent the post becoming unnecessarily big.
  • Submitting posts with excessive color formatting is strongly prohibited, as it possibly makes it difficult to read them.
  • Click the [Report]-button under a post if you feel that someone broke the rules.
Rule 4: Follow profile guidelines (+10%, 2 weeks)
  • Please keep your signatures under 150 pixels in size, including text. Refrain from using animated pictures as they can take longer to load on some computers. Using sounds or anything which interferes with the forum layout is forbidden.
  • Do not upload avatars larger than 100 KB.
  • Breaking the forum-layout usually results in a verbal warning alongside the removal of the signature (or whatever else breaks it). If you re-add it, thus making the layout break again, a warning plus the removal of the signature will follow.
Rule 5: No multi-accounting (+40%, 3 months)
Don't create more then one account! If you created two accounts inadvertently while registering, just contact us, we'll merge or delete the second one and nothing happens. But if we find out that you have more than one account, you'll get into trouble and may also get banned!
Rule 6: No backseat moderating (+10%, 1 week)
No mini-modding. If you feel that a person has broken one of the above rules, please use the [Report]-button located under each post. You may write the user a personal message (PM) but do not post in the respective thread to inform about the violation.
Rule 7: English only (+10%, 1 week)
The forum is a meeting place for people from any nation to talk and have fun. Therefore, to ensure that everybody is able to participate and understand you, please stick to English with proper spelling and grammar**. Chinese is an exception however and has a section dedicated for itself.
English with proper spelling and grammar, to the best of your abilities, as opposed to:
“Imma waesum and pwn4ge11111” or
“hey dude wuts the date 4 the footbal game
i think its friday but yull hav 2 chek”
