Apparently with the rework of the calendar themes, there are new backgrounds added to the calendar.
Further, it also highlights important community events for the respective months. To make it even better, special thumbnails could be added with respect to the date of the particular event taking place in the community (pictures for birthdays, tournaments, streams, so on...).
Also, a drop down list showing every event of the year, in the respective month would be appreciated as well.
Leaving this post for later reference if it gets reworked. ;)
