HFv0.7 | Bug and Imperfection list - Pete P. - 07-11-2014 This is a closed thread at which I’ll collect all bugs that you guys or I can find. Of course I don't collect them so as for Marti to solve them and fix them (at least not all of them), because some of them are of great fun and make HF unique. But you and I personally wish that someday tmost of these bugs and imperfections that we will collect will be fixed by Marti, making HF even better and perfect!!! ---(so probably some of these will be deleted if fixed) The reason why I made this thread and why I made it closed is to have this list free of spamming so as it would be easier for Marti to find everything without effort… !!! As we know, Hero Fighter has a browser version, which many players use instead of the downloadable version. Being a web-based game, it is essential that this game has a good working Network Mode, allowing players to make rooms very easily. So, here is my suggestion: 1st - Put a button in the Network Game menu, allowing to host a server. 2nd - After clicking that button, some options appear: - Option public/private; - TCP port; - Room name (if public); - Room description (if public); - Location (if public); - Max. number of players; - Latency limit; -Also, a warning about port forwarding, or 3rd party software for VPN. 3rd - Chat codes: - Code for kicking players (example: @kick P1). - Code for banning players (example: @ban P1). (meaning he can''t join the server anymore, until you make a new server) - Code to take down the server (example: @shutdown), because kicking the host (yourself) shouldn''t take down the server. And some other codes just for fun (like changing the chat text color for example...). Of course, Mr. Marti could still keep the java room server for those who only want to host a server, without having the game open. And maybe add some fancy options to it that are not available in the in-game version. This bug may have been reported already because it''s very serious. But I only came to know of it now. In Try the game mode, it is possible to level up your character beyond level 16. This is a truly stage bug, I found it at the HF Chinese forums but it took me a while to understand it…In order to get it done…. You have to click all time the right arrow ( ->) and wait until Leo fights Iczzy….and recall when Rayes hits Leo….so just before that happens you wait for Iczzy’s last attack- the ice wave or something….. you may also have to wait until the ice brokes and then you click the right button again and I think it works if you press the attack button as well….. So what? It is a bug that almost all have experienced, when you are at a room and you fight with others or you are waiting for the rest to end their fight and you click key settings … then all stuck and they continue moving or stand still and you cant control it…. Well this is a strange one….. you just need shawn and a char that can throw the phoebix arrow back…..The first step is to take shawn on a ridee, then click the -> or the <- button twice in order to make the horse to run, then click Shawn to do a phoenix arrow backwards, and the other char to throw it back like that: phase1 (Click to View) last phase (Click to View) LoL (Click to View) AI player is confused and changes team (Click to View)

The word "says:" is stuck with player names in the Room Server log. E.g.: "Brunosays: Text". -Music 11 is never chosen randomly. -Stages always repeat after completing them, even after pressing the button "Next". -Vivian, Young Eason and Livermore are never chosen randomly -Passwords doesn''t work when above 12 characters. -Battlemode doesn''t work when trying to restart with players waiting in Waiting Room. -In modded server v0.1, maps are changing after every match even when not in random maps. new features (Click to View)
New features: In-game:"Normalize Level" is now turned ON by default. "Crazy" difficult is now the default difficult. Random characters will change every fight, without returning to character selection screen. Random maps too. They will change every fight. Villager and Woman added to VS troops. There is 50% chance to get them instead of infantries and archers. When adding COMs, they are always added to the team with less fighters. New Music (Vivian LoveStory) added, only appear with random music. Battle Maps can appear as a map in VS Mode with the random option. (AI[coms] will be bugged in those maps, they get distracted by the structures[gold mines, castles, etc.], I''m planning a fix for this.) When a player joins the room, he will receive the message "Room Mod by Bruno Mussoi Mendonηa". It''s an advertise but also a warning that it is not the official room server. VS the Strongest (BattleMode Preset) is changed, Leo e Sinan give place to Eason and Livermore (+Big3). They all are level 1 now. In-server: Players IPs are shown in the server. Public servers can have passwords. Private servers doesn''t need to have a name. Portuguese added as a third language. When Portuguese is chosen, it also sets the location to Brazil, the latency to 16, the name to "Sala Brasileira" (Brazilian Room writen in portuguese) and the description will have the brazilian fansite. I have an interesting solution for reducing space occupied by troops on the picking screen. This also comes in handy to avoid troop spamming (since you only need to click on the «x» for them to disappear). As you can see, here I have 2 groups of infantries, 3 groups or archers and 1 group of cavalry. Besides reducing the space on the picking screen a lot, if I were to spam troops, one would only need to click on the "x" 3 times, instead of many. Overlord Hunter’s suggestion (Click to View)

Actually you are going to able to hit him many times until the enemy escapes after the hits (Click to View)

This is an obvious bug that I couldn’t possibly show it to you by screenshots… but is must have happened to the most of you. It usually happens when the PC is slow or when it is processing too much data or when you click too fast… So when you have for example at random char ‘the Jenny’, when you click the right arrow it wont show Lucas but the Jenny or the most times it shows the char after the random (which in Jenny’s situation is Taylor). This is more like imperfection because when a fire soldier get frozen... the fire that he has at his head get frozen as well... This means that this fire is just a sprite and not a ''''real'''' fire... though Marti can sprite this fire to ''''extinguish'''' when the fire soldier get frozen and then for this fire to apper again.. This bug works with Lucas, Leo and both Easons. Upon getting hit and falling, by rolling one gets a short period of invincibility where one blinks. However, with the characters mentioned, the roll can be stopped midway by performing a special attack, and blinking will not happen until the player rolls again. By doing this, a player can choose when to blink! It also works in crazy mode when hitting a character out of roll. ~Dragon5 4 hits after grab the character won't fall (Click to View)
By hitting a character 3 times with a steady rhythm one can grab it and hit 4 times, the character will be standing after that, by approaching we grab again and hit 4 times again, the character will be standing again, then approach again and hit many times until the hits stop doing anything and the character eventually falls. ~by a guy from Facebook Character walks diagonally and burns others (Click to View)
